Breathe Erin, Breathe!

Ok, so I am in full out stress/nervous mode....my stomach is churning....my heart is racing...and I am just in such an icky kind of mood today....I want to do nothing at all and everything all at the same time. I laid in bed last night thinking of being put to sleep and it made my heart race...that is such a horrible feeling knowing as they put that mask on you that you will be "asleep" and that you are going to be cut into. Even now to sit here and think of it, my heart is racing again. I just want it done and over with! I can't eat after midnight tonight, which will be interesting considering I am working tomorrow morning from about 3am to 7am...which means I'll be up at 2am and I know I am usually hungry...the thought of no food has sent me into eating overdrive today, which isn't good when you have the nervous stomach going on. Smart move, Erin! I can have black coffee...blech!!!! Yuck!!! I have no idea how I'll make it through the wee hours without a bite to eat and a good cup of coffee with cream and sugar!!! Surgery isn't till 11:20am...wish it could have been earlier in the day as I like to get things done and over with...but I didn't have a choice. I really need to learn some relaxation techniques...I am forever telling Trevor to calm down and take a deep breathe, when he is upset, and here I can't even do it myself...ugh!!

One more day and counting...

So for those who don't know, I am having surgery on Tuesday, October 31st. I have Endometriosis and my left ovary has some cysts and so off I go to surgery to have the cysts removed and hopefully get some pain relief!!! I am nervous...as anytime I have to be put out and cut into drags up some scary thoughts for me! And then of course add in the fact it's Halloween and I won't be able to take Trevor trick-or-treating, well it makes me sad! Luckily, I know Trevor will be in great hands for the day!

On another note - I have two new CT Memebers to announce....It is with great pleasure that I want to welcome Mari (lovely1m) and Lyndsay (lyndsaymel) to my team! They are joining April (april1986) and Nissa (nissabo) who have been with me since I started designing! I am so excited to have these four wonderful ladies working with me and feel honored they want to be on my team! Be on the lookout soon as I will be showcasing some of their layouts from week to week!!!

What I'd give for a few hours of sleep!!!!

I woke up at a lil after 2am to Karl bringing Trevor into bed with us....well needless to say, Karl goes right back to sleep and I am left to deal with the squirming, whining 2.5 yr old who wants nothing more than to get up and use the computer to look at Oreck Vacuums! Yes, that is correct...the child is obsessed with vacuums...he lives, breathes and practically eats vacuums. I made the mistake of showing him the Oreck website and now he fights me to use the computer. What have I done? I can't believe that he's so obsessed with them!! It's pretty sad that some days when I am trying to get us out of the house to go shopping, I have to lure him with promises of looking at vacuums in the store! LOL!

So anyways, back to the sleeping thing....Karl slept...but Trevor and I didn't sleep....no...Trevor barely closed his eyes for the next 5 hours...I spent my time hanging off the edge of the bed....needless to say not only am I tired but I have a backache to end all! I anxiously look forward to nap time today!!!

On a design note...I am full throttle into a Christmas kit...so be on the look out soon for a preview to that!!!

And this coming week - starting tomorrow actually, I will be a guest CT for Tracy Blankenship! I am so excited and can't wait for everyone to see the beautiful layouts I created for her!!!

Yes, I am joining the Blogging Bandwagon!! LOL! I think resistance is futile! LOL!

I'll be honest, I am not sure how updated this will stay...I have the very best of intentions but I also have this thing called a "life" outside of the internet and sometimes that interferes with my online time! LOL!

Seriously, I hope to keep this updated....maybe give away a freebie or two....and just have fun with this!

For those that don't know me or know me very well, I am Erin of ErinShannon Designs! I design digital scrapbooking products for ScrappinSecrets.com. I signed on with ScrappinSecrets in July and it's been a wonderful few months so far. I won't lie, I have my ups and downs sometimes, doubting my abilities but I love what I do, so I keep doing it!

I have a 2.5yr old son, Trevor who is my world - if you've ever seen any of my online galleries, you'll see he is the inspiration for 99% of my layouts! I am married to Karl for almost 8 yrs and together almost 13 yrs...wow!!! I will be 31 in March...ouch....old age is creeping up on me! LOL!
